Justice with double standards is killing hope in Albania!

Justice with double standards is killing hope in Albania!

Justice must be the same for everyone. Otherwise, it becomes a tool of power and any trust that citizens have in the rule of law is lost.

Will SPAK investigate the £16 million contract between Edi Rama and Tony Blair in 2013? In a country where justice should have been the citizens' last hope for equality and truth, today we clearly see a bitter reality: selective justice is becoming the rule, not the exception.

SPAK has launched an investigation into the Democratic Party for lobbying contracts in the US and the agreement with Mr. Lacivita. No one is above the law and an investigation is a necessary process when there are reasonable suspicions.

But where is the justice when it comes to Prime Minister Edi Rama's agreement with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in the 2013 general elections?

An agreement that, according to international media, includes payments reaching millions of pounds and direct political engagements in Albania!

Why hasn't SPAK launched any investigation into this contract? Why aren't the justice bodies asking about the source of the funds and the purpose of this agreement that affects the Albanian public interest?

If one side is investigated and the other side is protected, then justice is no longer justice — it is discrimination and pure injustice.

Albanian citizens can no longer accept justice with two standards: one for the opposition and one for the government! Citizens demand true justice, which serves the law and the citizen, not politics and narrow interests.

But one question torments honest citizens:

Why is Edi Rama and the Socialist Party's agreement with Tony Blair not being investigated, an agreement publicly denounced as a multi-million dollar scheme?! Why does SPAK choose to turn a blind eye to government contracts, but furiously attack the opposition?

When SPAK becomes selective, when the investigation only applies to one side, justice dies and with it the hope of an entire people who have waited for equality before the law for decades dies.

If the contract with Tony Blair is clean, why fear an open and transparent investigation? Why this double standard? Or is it because the "strong" are untouchable in Albania?

We will never accept this farce! We demand equal justice for all! We will no longer remain silent while justice is used as a political weapon!

Justice must be the same for everyone. Otherwise, it becomes a tool of power and any trust that citizens have in the rule of law is lost.

The time for true justice is now! The time to say enough with double standards is now!
