Kamala or Trump, who will win the mandate to lead the world from the White House, will be known soon, while in the Balkans divided by the barricades of inter-ethnic and inter-religious war, fandom is boiling...
In Serbia, the radical Sesel has comforted the candidate Trump, on his white canoe, on his ample belly and is walking the media with his few followers at present, promoting Donald's victory as the victory of the Serbian people.
When it comes to the votes, the radicals in Serbia may be few, but if we start from history, they are the right-wing conservative force which has historically shaped Serbian collective emotions, such as hatred for the surrounding peoples and love for the Russian tsars, and . . . now for trump. Among the Serbs, Harris's support is few, if not insensitive. Even those who love him prefer to remain silent.
The Serbian president, even though he is a former pioneer of Sešel and a former adjutant of Milosevic, does not prefer to declare himself openly. He knows that the majority of Serbs love Trump, while he calls this something emotional and not rational. "Serbia must prepare for both options", he says.
Albanian politics thinks similarly; in Tirana, that is, rationally, while the strategic orientation towards the West, NATO is clear, even though Trump's orientation towards NATO and the West is not clear.
While Russia-oriented Serbia attracts the attention of the West and is lured with offers, Western-oriented Albania becomes interesting for Euro-Asian powers. They buy our public assets, build mosques and . . . stop journalists at the border.
Among Kosovo Albanians, the situation is different. Although neither side can be accused of a lack of patriotism, something completely different makes the difference. Some have patriotism as an emotion, some politics and some business. In any case, in Kosovo you cannot be a patriot and not be pro-American and pro-Western. Even if you are, it doesn't count. The difference is who you are with in the US.
There is an emotional connection of Kosovars with the democrats, in the majority of the population and in . . . The Kurti government. But. . . this is emotional, it is not rational, the opposition would say if they could speak with one voice. Didn't the Americans overthrow the Kurti 1st Government? Didn't he lead Mr. Grenell campaign, together with former president Thaçi?
So the opposition wants power at all costs, after it has been away from the state coffers for a long time, while the power lost after the death of President Rugova, the LDK technocrats are trying to regain it with a declarative pro-Americanism and a support at least for former President Trump. The eventual return of Trump to power gives you hope that the Kosovar electorate will also change direction. But this is not certain either. Neither Kurti is known for emotional approach, nor Dejona. So neither the Government nor the party.
Even the other party, the opposition party that emerged "from the war" and that promotes the "War Values", i.e. the PDK left without its political and operational leader, former President Thaçi and former Speaker of Parliament Veseli, prefers former President Trump, as he currently does not there is a leadership that has real power to make autonomous decisions. Even Mr. Grenell had openly stated that the "Thaçi issue" will be on the agenda. Or something similar, which gives hope for political influence in the "Specialized Chambers", if Trump returns...
The emergence of PDK with a candidate for prime minister from the ranks of the technocrats seems to pave the way for an alliance with the technocrats of the LDK who have already formally defeated the humanist line of the former president Rugova within their party, which was represented by the intellectuals of the "District of Prishtina" Sabri Hamiti and later also by Kujtim Shala. So, with this victory and new leadership, they built a structure that is working better in Social Media. The upcoming elections will show whether they have returned the flag of Rugova to their peace trenches.
Even the LDK technocrats are not unique, although their "love" for Trump is indisputable. In the background, the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, Abdullah Hoti, with a team of like-minded people, the favorites of emissary Grenell, do not hide the idea that they will be Trump's people in LDK, if he wins the elections in the USA. The wooden chair in front of Trump, where Hoti and Vucic were sitting, to approve the agreement that changed the name of Lake Ujman, will be ready again and . . . what do you say
Will the great Balkan leaders sit in front of Trump or Harris to make historic decisions on which side will remain dozens and dozens of Albanian and Serbian villages, here and there on the Kosovo-Serbia border? Okay, the fate of the world does not depend on these tens of villages and tens of thousands of citizens who do not want to live on this or that side of the border, but still dozens of historians and media analysts will make a living by commenting or describing their patriotism. This, however, makes their little virtual and media world more prosperous.
What about Ramushi? Ramushi has made a historic coalition with the "Initiative" of Fatmir Limaj, they have declared Kurti a traitor and hope that Mr. Grenell.
Understandably, not so much for emotional reasons as for rational ones. / Pamphlet
