A member of the Gaxhai gang, Armando Sulejmani, was arrested in Durrës.
Armando Sulejmani was arrested by the Durres Police yesterday evening. Police sources say that he was stopped while driving a vehicle.
At the time of the arrest, he was driving a stolen car with overlapping license plates. The same license plates belong to a Range Rover car that was stolen some time ago in Tirana.
Sulejmani had close ties with Gëzim Sinomati, who was executed by sniper on the balcony of his apartment in Vlora, some time ago. We remind you that "Chipuri" has survived several assassination attempts against him over the years.
Meanwhile, the police informs that a 26-year-old man, the owner of the vehicle driven by the 48-year-old man, is wanted, suspected of being an accomplice in the theft of license plates.
"During the operation, in Spitalle, the Police services signaled a stop to the Mercedes Benz vehicle, driven by citizen AS, who disobeyed the order to stop and tried to leave quickly. As a result of the actions of the AS citizen was caught by the police and escorted to the police station for further action.
From the investigative actions, it turned out that the license plates of the "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, driven by this citizen, were stolen and belonged to a "Land Rover" type vehicle, stolen on 03.11.2023, in Tirana. During the check in the trunk of the "Mercedes Benz" type vehicle, the original license plates of this vehicle were found.
At the end of the first procedural actions for this case, citizen AS, 48 years old, resident of Vlora, previously convicted of murder, was arrested in the act. Also, citizen LZ, 26 years old, resident of Tirana, owner of the vehicle driven by the 48-year-old man, suspected of being an accomplice in the theft of the "Land Rover" type vehicle, was declared wanted," the police announcement states.
Sulejmani, known by the nickname "Chipuri", was wanted by the police. In 2016, he was shot by two people, as a result of which he was injured, while Sulejmani's brother-in-law and friend were killed. The events take place in the Cold Water area.

Armando Sulejmani (Cipuri), who was injured in a serious incident in Vlora in February 2019, is suspected of being involved in the murder of one of Vlora's "strongmen", Edison Harizajt. Sulejmani was in the car with his brother-in-law Orest Rexho and his friend Arjan Hasani, who died. After being extradited from Italy, Sulejmani was sentenced to several years in prison, to regain his freedom in 2016, where only a short time after his release from prison, his physical elimination was targeted. It is not known where the conflict between Sulejmani and Edison Harizaj started, but there are doubts that "Cipuri" was involved in the murder of "Il Padrino", considered one of the strongest people in Vlora.
For his murder that happened in Durrës in November 2018, it is suspected that the perpetrators were paid, but Suljemani may have played an indirect role, since Harizaj was one of the most guarded people, due to the many conflicts he had with the traffic drugs, murders and fines.
Also, the name Harizajt appeared in the mafia murder of judge Skerdilajd Konomi and he was also known as a friend of Emiljano Shullazit. Harizaj, together with his friend, Genti Çaçi, were shot with more than 50 bullets, while they were traveling in the direction of Kavaja in an "Audi A8" car.
