The Greek court has placed the members of the Greek-Albanian criminal group called "Lions" under the measure of "obligation to appear". They have been charged in Greece with several serious crimes, including murder.
Bledi Alushi, 19 years old from Fieri and Nektarios Karkalios, 24 years old from Greece, were arrested on February 8 for several criminal incidents including attempted murder. Alushi was charged with "criminal group", "attempted murder in cooperation and separately", "unlicensed possession of weapons and use of weapons" and "acquisition of property in cooperation", while Karakalios was charged with "murder in cooperation". attempts". Their lawyer, Janis Glykas, said that “this is a file in which the police authorities tried to bring together scattered incriminating evidence and other pending criminal cases to assign criminal responsibility to my clients. The beginning of my clients' investigated involvement was the attempted murder of the wife of one of the defendants, who then tried to frame him. After apologizing, the clients convinced the court of their non-involvement in the charges and were released."
The gang is accused of brutally beating Spartak Latos, who was with Dimitrios Latos, Maria Latos, Kristina Tsakiri and a 1-year-old child.
Latos was stopped on "Lenorman" street, where a group of 7 people stopped the vehicle and got off the driver, who beat him with hard objects.
The 19-year-old from Albania was also identified by the cameras as a participant in the beating.
The young man operated together with his Greek friend, 24-year-old Greek Nektarios Karakalios, who is also a criminal element of the "LIONS" gang.
Karakalios was arrested together with the 19-year-old during checks that the Greek police organized in several houses that served as criminal bases of the gang.
Also, Karakalios and the 19-year-old Albanian tried to kill Kristos P. Loukas, who was seriously injured.
Bledi Alushi and Nektarios Karakalios are suspected of being the people who fired at the Bar Restaurant "VENUS" owned by Pëllumb Hasani from Babica of Vlora, on the streets "Paraskevopoulou" and "Giannari" in Patisia. This event happened on 09.01.2024.
