The Albanian "head" of the group! The network of traffickers in Italy

200 kilograms of drugs have been discovered from the seizure of 16 kilograms of heroin on November 23, 2022 in Floriano di Campli in Italy.

Drugs, cocaine and heroin, came from the Netherlands and were destined for the Italian market.

The investigation revealed a real drug center set up in the Teramo area and managed by a 43-year-old Albanian still on the run, which led to the arrest of 20 people, of which 8 were caught red-handed.

Yesterday, a preliminary hearing was held before Judge Francesco Ferretti for the fifteen defendants involved in this investigation, including the fugitive Albanian who was sentenced to non-proceeding due to ignorance of the process. Eight of them took plea deals.

It is about Afrim Kasa, sentenced to five years in prison as well as the Albanians Rexhep Kumrija, Martin Kamxhiu, Izet Sufa and the Italian Tommaso Colacioppo di San Benedetto; 4 years and 6 months for Albanian Ervin Cili; 2 years and 8 months for Daniele Malafronte from Torre Annunziata and finally 4 years and 6 months for Michele Demarino from Mola di Bari. With the shortened trial, Roberto Tarquini from Teramo was sentenced to 2 years in prison and was declared innocent, but the Albanian.

The investigations started with the first seizure of 16 kilograms of heroin discovered in the house in Floriano di Campli of the 42-year-old Albanian, who then managed to escape.

From his contacts, through two regular customers from Teramo, the police identified the respective associates of these drug dealers, whose activity centered on Teramo with the door-to-door delivery of drug doses. A network which, with the continuation of the investigations, expanded more and more to the point that it enabled the investigators, also thanks to telephone and environmental wiretapping, to arrest 8 people in the act. The drugs arrived from Northern Europe and then ended up buried a meter and a half deep in rural Teramo, hidden in oil drums and always wrapped in plastic bags by the Dutch discount chain Action, after which the whole operation takes its name. .

Among those involved in the narcotics trade was the driver of the Pulian truck, who, according to the investigators, used the truck rented from the company where he worked to sell large quantities of cocaine to Albanians. With this complex activity, one million single doses of drugs worth over 10 million euros were removed from the Teramo market, seized not only in Campli, but also in Teramo, Martinsicuro, Mosciano, Colonnella, Tortoreto, Corropoli and Ascoli.
