
The Lezha Prosecutor's Office has launched investigations into the head of Kurbin's emergency department, after a young man diagnosed with rat disease passed away.
After the incident was published on an investigative show 'STOP', it is alleged that doctor Agron Lala neglected the treatment of the victim. 59-year-old Agron Lala is accused of the criminal offense of "abuse of office".
"The Section for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crimes referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated at large, against citizen Agron Lala, 59 years old, resident of Laç, with the duty of Chief of Emergency at Kurbin Hospital, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of Office".
From the film materials broadcast on the show "STOP", it is suspected that as a result of the 59-year-old's failure to act in time and according to hospital protocols, the patient, citizen FL, lost his life in the hospital. Under the direction of the Lezha Prosecutor's Office, an investigation is being conducted to document with legal evidence the circumstances and responsibilities in this case.
"The procedural materials were passed to the Lezha Prosecutor's Office for further action ," the police announced.
