A 35-year-old man was arrested this Sunday in Skrapar after, masked and armed with a pistol, he tried to steal a 28-year-old woman's cell phone and threatened the life of a citizen who intervened.
The 35-year-old was caught near a stream in the village of Çepan, where he tried to evade the police. He has previously been convicted of armed robbery and sex crimes.

The 35-year-old man, masked and threatening with a pistol, tried to steal the mobile phone of a 28-year-old woman. He also threatened the life of a 53-year-old man who intervened when he discovered the attempted theft.
As a result of the quick actions at the scene, the Police services have found and arrested the citizen BK, near the stream of the village of Çepan, where he had gone to hide.
During the search of the hand bag, 1 firearm, pistol, 2 cutting tools (knives), 2 masks (hoods), a pair of gloves and a flashlight were found and seized as material evidence.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the Berat General Jurisdiction, for further actions ", the police informs.
