The traffic police of Tirana have announced that within the last week, they have issued 11,462 fines to drivers for traffic violations.
According to the Blues, 14 people have been detained for criminal offenses in traffic, including driving while intoxicated, without a driving license, accidents and active corruption against persons exercising public functions.
8 vehicles were blocked for various reasons, including lack of documentation and unpaid dues.
"This week in Tirana, the Traffic Police has taken important measures for traffic safety:

11,462 administrative measures were imposed for a wide range of violations, highlighting the importance of obeying traffic rules for a safer city.
84 administrative measures are foreseen for driving license suspension, with the possibility of conversion into double fines.
"8 vehicles have been blocked for various reasons, including lack of documentation and unpaid obligations," the police announcement states.
