A surprise operation was carried out at the Institution for the Execution of Criminal Decisions in Durrës.
The operation was undertaken by the General Directorate of Prisons, following information provided by operational structures and risk analysis, while the controls were carried out in the early hours of the morning, in accordance with a special order and with the participation of special forces.
During the search of the interior and exterior of the institution, three "iPhone" type mobile phones, turned on and functional, were seized.
According to sources, one of them was found in the possession of a detainee with the initials BG, while two others, along with a pair of Bluetooth headphones, were found without the author in various premises of the institution.
Immediately after the finding, the detainee was isolated, an incident report was drafted and a record was kept of the blocking of prohibited items. The materials were further referred to the Internal Control Service for further investigation.
