
The trial for the 10 arrested as members of a cocaine trafficking group from Latin America continues in GJKKO.
Colombian Hiëlen Ledezma Narvaez, and 2 Venezuelans, Joze Ramon Zacarias Vasquez and Samuel Alfonso Moreno Serrano, have denied being related to cocaine trafficking. They stated before the court that they came to Albania for tourism and to plant their hair.
The SPAK operation was undertaken on the afternoon of November 15, 2024 with the arrest of 7 Albanian citizens and 3 foreign citizens, 1 Colombian and 2 from Venezuela.
The judge of the proceedings is Irena Gjoka, while the prosecutor is Adnand Xholi.
The 850 salted cattle skins in which cocaine is hidden, Albanian investigators in cooperation with foreign partners, knew very well that they were loaded into containers in Latin American countries and would come by sea to the port of Durrës. A total of 48 tons, in two shipments, one in September and the other in November, were observed by SPAK and allowed to operate freely until the last route, to deal the final blow to the drug cartel, with 10 arrests in total.
According to the investigation group, 4 of the 7 arrested Albanians are the leaders of the group, organizers and financiers of the criminal network of cocaine trafficking to Albania, and further its sale in the markets of European countries.
Geis Fejsullai, 42 years old, is suspected to have the main role. The villa in the residential residence "Kodra e Diellit 2" in Tirana, which served as the base of the group, is suspected to be his, owned or rented, meanwhile SPAK is still investigating him there, and in another support environment of in this group, near the port of Durrës, a total of 6.1 kg of cocaine was found.
To extract the narcotic content from the skins of the leaves, 3 foreign citizens traveled to the Albanian capital. They opened a company for the introduction of leaf skins, registering it in the name of a citizen who turns out not to be involved in the traffic, and through it they introduced the loads, which were distributed to two points, one a few kilometers from Tirana. The total amount of cocaine, brought through cattle hides in two shipments, in September and November, is still unknown.
The apartment converted into a laboratory where 3 foreign chemists, from Colombia and Venezuela separated drugs from the skin, is suspected to be owned by Andy Sejdini, only 25 years old, positioned at a strategic point, near the airport of Rinas, in the village of Qereke.
Klajdi Birçe, 30 years old, and Artion Çaushllari, 37 years old, a character who has also exercised public functions followed by, also according to SPAK, are among the organizers and financiers. While the 37-year-old Aldi Zonja, Ismail Abdurrahmanaj 51 years old from Shkodra and Baki Huqi 57 from Durrës, convicted for two murders in '97 and 2013, had secondary roles in the service of criminal activity
