A 28-year-old man has been arrested by police in Shkodra for helping immigrants from third countries cross the border illegally.
Stiven Muça, who was caught transporting 5 citizens from third countries for payment, has been arrested.
Investigations suspect that the young man was helping immigrants cross the land border illegally, transporting them from the green border with Greece towards Montenegro, in exchange for a payment of 600 euros per person.
"The Shkodra Local Directorate for Border and Migration, in cooperation with the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking of the Shkodra DVP, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, in continuation of the work to crack down on the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, in return for payment, for illegal border crossing, based on information obtained in operational channels, have organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Itinerary".
As a result of this operation, citizen SM, 28 years old, resident of Shkodra, was arrested in flagrante delicto.
Investigations suspect that this citizen was helping immigrants from third countries to illegally cross the land border, transporting them from the green border with Greece towards Montenegro, in return for a payment of 600 euros per person.
"During the operation, this citizen was transporting 5 citizens from third countries ," the police announced.
