The police have as their main clue for this morning's crime in Tale, Lezha, that of revenge.
And the blood feud saga seems to have begun three decades ago.
On January 7, 1994, the city of Rrëshen was shocked by the murder of Crime Chief, Ndue Kaza. He was allegedly shot in the middle of the city by Dod Gjini and Augustin Gjini, who fled after the incident.
In 1997, citizen Martin Kaza killed, in revenge, in the city of Laç, the brothers Dod Gjini and Augustin Gjini, who were the suspected perpetrators of the murder of his brother in 1994.
Martin Kaza has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for the criminal offenses of "premeditated murder, committed in collaboration" and "unlicensed possession of weapons".
Kaza was arrested in London, and in 2017 he was extradited and continues to serve his sentence in Albania.
Even though Martin Kaza is in prison, this has not stopped the bloodshed between the tribes. Even after so many years, the latest target was Agustin Kaza. He was drinking a coffee when a masked person approached him and shot him with 4 bullets.
Today's event (June 1) is also suspected to be motivated by the blood feud saga between the two tribes, which has also claimed the fifth victim.
