A serious accident was recorded in Serbia, after a van with immigrants went off the road, injuring over 40 people.
The incident happened on the highway near Bela Pallanka in the direction of Nis. The police spotted the van driven by an Albanian, which had 40 immigrants from Afghanistan and Nepal. When the driver saw the police, he jumped out of the door of the van and the vehicle then crashed.
The van had Serbian license plates, while the emergency teams from Piroti and Nishi arrived at the scene of the accident and transported the injured to the hospitals of these two cities.
The ambulance in Pirot has confirmed for Tanjug that 18 immigrants have been brought to the hospital in that city.
