Two Albanians, aged 25 and 38, have been arrested in Belgium after being accused of cultivating narcotics. The investigation started after an alert to check their car.

“An ANPR signal to carry out a car check. The intervention teams in the area immediately started searching for the car in question and a short time later the police were able to find the vehicle in question in the Bormstraat", explains police spokesman Dirk Van de Sande.

There were two men in the car, of Albanian nationality, aged 25 and 38. It turned out that the Albanians were connected to a house which was used as a "shepherd's house".

"The house in question turned out to have a cannabis plantation where there were more than a thousand plants, 1,023 to be exact," Van de Sande added.
