New details have come to light from the serious event in Durrës where a 40-year-old man, under the influence of drugs, held 2 children hostage and shot with a Kalashnikov for several hours until he surrendered after negotiations with RENEA.
Sources from the police confirm that Aleks Marku and his 2 children had arrived in Durrës 4 days ago and were settled in an apartment for daily rent located in "Agait Creek".
The investigative team interrogated the children in the presence of the psychologist.
They stated that "we were asleep when the father started calling that they were being attacked by the enemy. He said the enemy was coming to the door and was shooting from the balcony. Even when the police came, he was calling and shooting."
Sources from the police inform that his mental state is not in order and he will undergo medical visits.
Meanwhile, the woman who, when she came from Italy, found the children at the police station, was not questioned. She had left her husband the children she was carrying during her stay in Italy. The woman had two protection orders, say the Durrës police.
After asking the children, they left for Lezha.
