One of the injured, due to the serious nature of the injuries, is being transported by helicopter to Tirana for specialized treatment. So, the emergency services are on full alert and are taking care to manage the situation, while the specific condition of the injured is not yet known.
In the accident, 2 English tourists who were driving a vehicle with Skopje license plates were injured, while the driver of the other vehicle was seriously injured.
Police notification:
Around 5:50 p.m., on the "Pogradec-Qafë Thane" road axis, near the village of Udënisht, a "Toyota" type vehicle, driven by an EB citizen, collided with a "Hyndai" type vehicle, driven by a DR citizen.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the Toyota type vehicle was injured, as well as the driver of the Hynday type vehicle and a passenger in this vehicle, who are in the hospital for treatment.
The investigative team is working to clarify the circumstances and the cause of the accident.
