
31-year-old Ted Marku, a resident of Lezha, has been arrested by the Police after being caught driving around armed at the Rinas roundabout.
According to police, during a search of his vehicle, officers found a pistol with a magazine of live ammunition in a handbag. The gun and ammunition were seized as evidence.
After the arrest, criminal proceedings were initiated against Ted Marku for the offense of "Unauthorized production and possession of weapons, combat weapons and ammunition", while the file was transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Tirana for further action.
"The police operation codenamed "Black 2" is finalized. He was circulating armed with a pistol, and was caught at the Rinas roundabout by the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, in cooperation with the Krujë Police Commissariat, a 31-year-old from Lezha.
