New details have been revealed from the murder of the police officer in Fier, while 12 people have been escorted to the police.
The perpetrator of the murder of policeman Novruz Cenalia in Fier is still on the run. After shooting a bullet in the head of the officer who was going to receive the service, 23-year-old Asllan Mernica left the scene.
Sources for the media inform that the controls at night are concentrated in the area of Sulaj, Havaleas and Apoloni. The police suspect that after abandoning the car near the place of the murder in the village of Baltëz, he left on foot towards the village of Havaleas and then to Apolloni.
So far, 12 people have been taken to the police for the incident, mainly family members of the author, who have been questioned about whether they know about the location of the 23-year-old.
Searches for his capture continue since yesterday, but so far there is still no trace of the perpetrator.
The police offer a 30,000 euro reward for any valuable information that will lead to the capture of the 23-year-old.
How did the serious event happen?
28-year-old Novruz Cenalia was killed with a bullet to the head on May 13, 2024 in the village of Baltëz in Fier. He was on his way to work, but got involved in an argument with Asllan Mernica, 23 years old, about the turn to drive.
At this moment, the 23-year-old took out the pistol he was carrying and with a single bullet in the head he left the State Police employee dead on the spot. He then left the scene.
Nevruz Cenalia's father is also a policeman near the operating room of the Fier Police, who is suspected of being involved in a murder that happened years ago in his hometown in Has, closed at the doors of justice, which he initially put on the table of to investigators as a lead, but it was quickly clarified that there was no connection. Meanwhile, the author of the event, Asllan Mernica, turns out to be the brother of Kiri Mernica, arrested for attempted murder.
