Xhimi Bakaj, a 23-year-old from Fieri, died yesterday evening.
He was shot with a knife by a 39-year-old man, who was the ex-husband of the girl he had been living with for two months.
The serious incident took place on "Ramiz Aranitasi" street in the city of Fier and the 23-year-old was shot three times with a knife by Xuliano Miho.
They argued and had physical conflicts with each other, until the moment when the ex-husband of the girl with whom the victim lived took the knife and shot him three times in different parts of the body, Xhimi Bakaj. The young man was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately he died.
The author Juliano Miho had been in the process of divorcing his wife for months, who had taken the three children with her.
She had left the house of her 39-year-old husband and was living with 23-year-old Xhimi Bakaj, together with their three children. In the conditions when the lawsuit had not yet passed the review stage by the Court of Fier, the parties had conflicts, even more so when the three children were also involved.
When he was accompanied to the Fier Police, the author Xuliano Miho stated that the knife with which he committed the murder was not his, but the victim's.
According to him, the 23-year-old punched him during the fight they had on the main street of Fier, in front of the "Petro Sota" school, while he also had a knife with him.
In order to defend himself, he stated that he took the knife and injured Jimi Bakaj. He died of his injuries in hospital.
