Elton Ilirjani has given very important news, thanks to a video published on Youtube.
It is learned that singer Parashqevi Simaku was honored with the title of "Honorary Citizen" during the traditional "Sofra e Kavajës" celebration.
Smiling and full of charm, Simaku shared some heartfelt words about her hometown.
"It's been almost a year since I heard Fisnik... he took Elton and said: 'What should I do for Parashqevi, please tell me?!' It has stayed in my soul, because all this time that I have been recovering from the events that happened, I want to thank him for this great honor," she confessed with emotion.
The most special moment of the video was her famous statement, which is now making the rounds on the internet:
"You can take Parashqevië out of Kavaja, but you can't take Kavaja out of Parashqevië. I am with you with all my heart and soul."
The artist also recalled her roots and the influence of her first teachers, including Rexhep Asimi and Terezina Levi, emphasizing that the Kavaja musical tradition remains a treasure that she has carried with her on every world stage:
"Even though I have sung everywhere, my essence remains the spirit and tradition of Kavaja. A heavy stone in its place, we say. May I be grateful to the cradle that gave birth to me and raised me, Kavaja," Simaku concluded.
This virtual comeback has a special feature for the Albanian public, given that the last time she performed a recital concert in Kavaja was in July 1999.
