The legal representative of the Democratic Party, Rezart Kthupi, has spoken about the Criminal Amnesty, which is expected to be approved by the Parliament the next day.
In an interview for "Euronews Albania", he explained the reasons why the PD came out against the amnesty. Kthupi said that this happened after the SP did not accept the proposals made by the opposition.
He emphasized that the PD will not vote for the criminal amnesty tomorrow.
"The DP proposals for amnesty were not accepted by the majority with the justification that we are dealing with criminal offenses that are serious or harm society. For this reason, he decided not to include these in the amnesty draft. At the last meeting of the Commission, an amendment was made that was not included in the previous amendments. Alibeaj has decided to leave the Commission session, stating that if this amendment is approved by the Commission, we will not vote for the criminal amnesty", said Kthupi.
