The expulsion of Gazment Bardhi from the Democratic Party has brought many reactions in the ranks of the opposition. The vice president of DP, Roland Bejko, said that anyone who violates the statute of DP or joins another political organization will be expelled from the party.
In an interview for "Report TV", Bejko calls on all democrats to join PD and not Foltores, which according to him has no future.
"Those who will violate the PD statute and will make elections by going to other political bodies. It is their right, we invite the democrats to join the PD. The pulpit has no perspective. Any kind of union between those persons who have accused each other of corruption, trafficking, or with the burdens of the past. It is good for the DP to distance itself and separate itself from the corrupt past" , said Bejko.
Bejko says that Bardhi and the other deputies who joined Berisha until yesterday accused him of being corrupt and made him responsible for Gërdec, while today they have taken refuge with Berisha.
"Nameless movement that still hopes to adopt the PD logo and destroy it. They hate each other, they left because we cannot stay with Mr. Basha because they relied on Bardhi, today they are with Bardhi. I know very well that they hate each other. They are asking them to give up the logo, the sigla, they are asking them to die politically, a part of them proved to be against Berisha, those who drafted the resolution of December 18 that did not allow PD to cooperate with non-women, and on the other hand, they are the ones who fled in the end who fought against Berisha. When yesterday you said that you represent the corrupt part, accusing him of being a liar, supporting the US theses, and today you go and join. Until yesterday you accused him of corruption. They cannot remove a gang and replace the power with a gang", continued Bejko.
He says that the DP is in the process of reorganization and then they will make public the names of the 140 candidates for deputies in the 2025 parliamentary elections.
"The organization of the Democratic Party is a normal process, since the Democratic Party has already taken the form of a real party. PD went through a difficult moment for almost two years. It has entered a process even at the base level and will conclude it with the completion of all structures. After this, the DP will enter the process of issuing candidacy for MP", said Bejko.
