Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe has reacted after the protest held in front of the Prime Minister's Office against the tourist project in Zvërnec, emphasizing that among the protesters there were also socialists who feel left out of the decision-making processes.
Through a post on social media, Brace said that the protest brought together ordinary citizens, nature protectors, and people concerned about the public interest, who should be heard and respected.
The socialist MP made the distinction between citizens who express legitimate concerns and those who, according to him, use such causes for political gain or to spread disinformation.
Brace revealed that there were also supporters of the Socialist Party at the protest, whom he has personally met during his fieldwork. He stressed that the government should dialogue with the people who have trusted it with their votes and not exclude them from important decision-making processes.
"There were also socialists there, I saw them myself, I have recognized them on the streets of this city in these months. We must govern with them, not without them. The people who voted for us. Socialists, leftists, ordinary citizens without political convictions but with faith in us, have delegated their power to us by vote," writes Braçe, adding that citizens must be informed, asked, listened to and included in discussions on projects with great public impact.
However, the socialist MP expressed his belief that Albania should not miss such a development project. According to him, there is still time to find a balance between the interests of nature protection, the rights of legal owners and the economic benefits that the investment can bring.
"Albania does not have the luxury of losing such a project, our loss will be the luxury of those who do not want us to compete. I think we are on time. There is still no approved construction permit, let's balance these interests and win a good project for the good of everyone, for the good of Albania ," he says.
Braçe argued that the project could create jobs, increase incomes, and generate economic development for the community and the country as a whole, describing it as part of a green and inclusive economy.

A few words about the people, socialists too.
THE PROTEST HAD PEOPLE – simple, ordinary citizens, many of whom had left their commitments to tell us loudly and publicly their opinion, what they oppose. With them were also nature lovers, naturalists, call them whatever you want, but their essence is nature, the good energy of nature, the benefits that come from it today and in the long term for children today and the future;
WE HAVE TO GET USED TO ALL OF THESE, THEY ARE JUST LIKE US AND THEY WANT THE PUBLIC GOOD!
We must definitely reject the abusers and political profiteers, the political haters, the digital techno-fascists from right to left – the insulters, the insulters, the slanderers, the threats, the newest banal trend in politics; with them also the disinformers and, last but not least, the hooligans who shamelessly shout from their own slaves who insult the slaves of others, in fact, everyone – all together much less.
There were also SOCIALISTS there, I saw them myself, I have recognized them on the streets of this city in these months!
WE MUST GOVERN WITH THEM – the people who voted for us. Socialists, leftists, ordinary citizens without political beliefs, but with faith in us, have delegated their power BY VOTING to us, have given us the opportunity to govern;
LET'S GOVERN WITH THEM, NOT WITHOUT THEM, FOR THEM AND WITH THEM!
They are speaking to us face to face, they feel left out, excluded from decision-making processes.
They must know, be informed, have the opportunity to ask, receive answers, speak, be heard, discuss and debate, criticize, oppose, approve a complete and sustainable decision-making; this does not prevent, GUARANTEED!
ALBANIA DOES NOT HAVE THE LUXURY OF LOSSING SUCH A PROJECT – our loss will be the luxury of those who do not want us to compete with them; therefore I insist on recognizing the LEGITIMATE INTERESTS of naturalists, who are also the reason why that project is coming here; the LEGITIMATE INTERESTS of legal owners, those who did not acquire the property known as forest fund by falsifying it as agricultural land and in the name of a minority or with abusive decisions of corrupt judges; the LEGITIMATE INTERESTS of all those who want to benefit from the ECONOMY;
I THINK IT'S TIME – there's still no approved building permit – TO BALANCE THESE INTERESTS AND ACHIEVE A GOOD PROJECT FOR THE GOOD OF ALL, FOR THE GOOD OF ALBANIA!
Victory is always better than defeat, it will be for everyone, just as defeat will be for everyone; there is an entire economy behind that project, people being employed, incomes being increased, producers being increased and expanded, service providers being expanded as well; thousands of people in this economic chain!
IT'S CALLED THE GREEN ECONOMY AND IT IS BROAD AND INCLUSIVE, MAKING THE ECONOMY MORE DEMOCRATIC.
