The vote counting process has begun. As always, Pusteci is the unit that has started opening the ballot boxes first. Meanwhile, in parallel, the ballot boxes of the Korça district are also being prepared to be opened in the Olympic Park, where the diaspora votes are.
In the first box in Posutec, the PS received 130 votes and the DP 52. Currently, 3 have been opened and the result is: 419 votes for the SP and 208 for the DP.
Meanwhile, the vote counting has begun in Tepelena. Initially, the ballot boxes in the villages of Progonat, Nivicë and Sinanaj have begun to be counted. In other towns, there are many delays.
Meanwhile, the votes in Vora have also leaked. Although Ilirjan Celibashi said that the results of the electronic voting will not be published, 14 boxes have been counted and the data has been released to the media. The SP leads with 1315 votes and the DP with 893 votes!
Although millions were cast, Ilirjan Celibashi announced that the results for Vora and Unit 10 will not be published today. According to him, this came after a request from the DP.
" In the conditions of skepticism regarding this process, we have assessed that we will also fulfill the request for the announcement of the voting results of unit 10 and the municipality of Vora after the tabulation of the results for the Tirana region has begun, that is, tomorrow around 8:00-9:00. It is a request of the DP and according to the DP and the coalition, the purpose of this pilot project is related to the reconfirmation, in my assessment, of the integrity of the use of this device ," he said.
Meanwhile, there were accusations and criticism from the SP. Through a statement from the SP headquarters, Helena Kaçe considered the decision to postpone the publication of the results for Vora and Unit 10, where electronic vote counting was applied, illegal. In her accusations, the SP even goes so far as to accuse Celibashi of serving the opposition's electoral tactics with such a decision.
" The failure to release the results of Vora and Unit 10 by the CEC, with an arbitrary decision that contradicts the logic of electronic voting, the tradition of immediately announcing the result, as well as the very reason for the significant investment that has been made in the electronic infrastructure, is an arbitrary, wrong and disappointing decision for the role of the CEC as a guarantor of the Sovereign People, and not of the tactical needs of political parties. We regret this and call on the Socialist Party of Vora as well as our supporters in Vora to maintain calm ," reads a statement from the SP.
But despite the bargaining, the results have been leaked to the media.
