Democratic MP, Ferdinand Xhaferraj, said that in the May 11 elections there was no competition between parties.
In a live broadcast on the central news edition of Vizion Plus, Xhaferraj stated that Berisha has only one agenda, that of solving personal problems.
For the DP MP, Sali Berisha has no intention of resigning.
-What conclusion do you think emerges from these elections?
Xhaferraj : Sali Berisha, with his decision-making, has made himself responsible for the election result. All this rhetoric about election manipulation is a departure that is both forced and decisive for Mr. Berisha. If we did not denounce the election result, the Statute would automatically come into force, which even so, with this situation we have, does not leave any room for Mr. Berisha not to resign. If 3 years ago Berisha had said that "I am returning for my personal troubles", no one would have gone after him. To motivate, he raised the fable of returning to overthrow Edi Rama and reinforced this fable by placing an article in the statute that did not leave any kind of interpretation for resignation. Today, after three years, it is clear that he has no intention of resigning at all, because since he returned until now he has only had one agenda, the agenda of solving his personal troubles. These are the dirtiest elections, due to the fact that we had no competition.
-It may be thought that you, or others like you, are very critical because you were not on the list, you did not run. An answer?
Xhaferraj: Three years ago, I had declared that I no longer have ambitions to be part of parliament. But, when you have no ambitions, it does not mean that you have no responsibilities, you have no obligations towards the political force. I have explained it more clearly than that several times. I have stated over ten times in the parliamentary group meetings that I no longer have ambitions.
