As the police continue to disperse protesters with batons and tear gas, the deputy leader of the Democratic Party, Luciano Boçi, has accused the police of the violence used.
He held Police Director Ilir Porda and Prime Minister Edi Rama responsible, saying that the police acted on their orders.
"Citizens were raped on Rama's orders and directors were captured politically and by crime. The resistance continues! Citizens will stand ," said Boçi.
It is worth noting that after the rally in front of the Prime Minister's Office closed, the protest escalated with Molotov cocktails and fireworks aimed at the police, who responded with tear gas and police cars.
