The protest called by the opposition in Tirana on Saturday afternoon has echoed in international media.

Prestigious news agencies have published footage from the protest, while footage has made the rounds around the world when, at the end of the speech by the democratic leader, Molotov cocktails and fireworks were thrown towards the government building, while the police responded with tear gas.

"The demonstration, organized by the opposition Democratic Party, was held in response to corruption allegations against the deputy prime minister and attracted thousands of people," international media wrote, referring to the protest.
