Why did the decision on the seal upset Ilir Meta more than Basha?

Ilir Meta hoped that the stamp would remain with Basha, since as long as Berisha's group was without a stamp and logo, PL was the only way to enter the 2025 elections...

The Court of Appeal put an end to the conflict in DP yesterday, legitimizing Sali Berisha as its president. After almost 3 years of chaos and clashes, it seems that now Berisha is back as president, even though he is under arrest and has the stamp of "non women" on his back.

Among the first to congratulate him was Ilir Meta, who appeared at a press conference shortly after the Appeal decision. But there seemed to be no joy in Meta's congratulation. In fact, the decision of the Appeal seems to hit Ilir Meta more than Lulzim Basha.

Basha even looked very happy. He took a huge burden off himself, knowing that he would never come out victorious. Basha thought they would welcome him as a hero when he returned, but everyone turned their backs on him and the seal just stayed in his hand, not that he wanted it. It has been 3 months since he said that he will release the candidates for the elections and he never released them. This is because there was no one to take out. So in short, the removal of the seal was a relief for him. Even on his face, Basha looked very smiling and relieved.

But for Meta it is trouble. Ilir Meta hoped that the stamp would remain with Basha, since as long as Berisha's group was without a stamp and logo, PL was the only way to enter the 2025 elections. Meta hoped for the same scheme as with the local elections, where in at the expense of PD, he got the majority of councilors in dozens of municipalities. If Berisha did not have the seal, then they would have to negotiate to enter with a joint list and then share the number of deputies. So Meta could get 15 or 20 deputies at the expense of Berisha. Now the situation changes.

The law prohibits coalition. This means that PD and PL must enter separately. Based on the polls published so far, Meta is the least liked politician and this means that if PL goes it alone, it will likely declare bankruptcy. Even Meta himself does not know if he will be elected deputy, always if SPAK does not act until April or May when the elections will be held.

On the other hand, Berisha himself has given signals of distancing himself from Meta. The latter went under the window twice and the doctor ignored it. In no case did he mention her name. When Berisha needed him, Meta ignored him. After being arrested, Berisha held protests, but Meta abandoned him. Even in the protest in front of the Parliament last week, he was not seen again. So it seems that Meta acts according to his interest and Berisha has smelled it.

But getting the seal seems to be an alarm bell for Bardhi and some others, since Berisha no longer needs them. He used them to gain benefits in the Assembly by appearing as a parliamentary group. Now Nikolla can no longer ignore him and every letter of Berisha must be taken into account. Also, Berisha has the strongest weapon in his hand: lists of candidates. There are many in DP who fight to secure a place in those lists. / Pamphlet
