Altin Duman's answers in the parliament did not reveal anything new from the heavy policy files that SPAK has in hand. As for the investigations of the incinerator of Tirana, for Charles McGonigal, the sterilization, the demolition of the theater, the house arrest of Berisha or the inclusion of Olsi Rama in the "Xibraka" file, the head of SPAK ignored the curiosity of the deputies with the cliché excuses that "the file is under investigation ” and that “prosecutors are collecting evidence”.
But the session was valuable for understanding something more of the dilemma that SPAK has been facing since its creation; If he has put the governing majority in difficulty with the arrests he has made? Or that it is part of the theater, which arrests the small fish in the government and the leader of the opposition on the other side, according to a scenario directed by the head of the majority, Edi Rama?
It is known that fierce opposition to SPAK dominates among the opposition.
The most loyal of Berishia were heard loudly in the session today, against the prosecutor who has kept him isolated at home for more than 7 months. Even at one point, annoyed by the words of Flamur Noka from the country, Duman asked for the help of the head of the session, Ermonela Felaj, because he could not speak calmly.
But it was interesting in the session to see the attitude of the other side of the hall, the side where the deputies of the Socialist Party sit.
Contrary to what is said and what is propagated, they did not seem to have any problem with the head of SPAK, Altin Duman. On the contrary, they protected him from the conjectures of the opposition.
When Duman returned to his right, he had to choose his words well, justify the investigations and defend himself when called to account.
But when he turned to the left side, lemonade questions like "How much has the extension of the deadlines helped the investigations?" Have you had results? How is the cooperation with the general prosecutor's office?" by Clotilda Bushka.
Socialist Party deputy Denis Deliu was so pleased with SPAK that he expressed the idea in the form of a question to open new offices in other cities as well. The idea was accompanied by Duman's promise that it would happen.
A moment to be noted in the session was the one when Ermonela Felaj lost her temper and interrupted the PD deputy, Elda Hoti, who was interested in the investigations of the company "5D", of the directors of the municipality of Tirana, asking if sequestration it was overdue.
As PD MP Elda Hoti was speaking, she was interrupted by Ermonela Felaj who shouted at her: "Sit down my lady, sit down. You will not give a speech here. Ask questions, not lectures...".
It was necessary for the PD deputies to stand up in protest, for Elda Hoti to speak again.
As if the vigilance of Ermonela Felaj was not enough, it was the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, who came to the defense of Altin Duman and demanded the discipline of the opposition's speeches.
"It's funny what's happening, when most of the questions have nothing to do with what we've gathered. The lady in charge of the session, I would ask you to refer exactly to Article 103," said Balla.
As long as Altin Dumani was in the pulpit, the socialists turned into zealous advocates of the prosecutor who is said to be wreaking havoc in the ranks of the Socialist Party. Even Duman himself tried to express this idea that circulates in public opinion.
When he noticed the displeasure of the opposition, he let out an exclamation of irony: "Good! Thank goodness this day came! When you arrest a former minister, a former prime minister, judges, prosecutors or MPs, you haven't done anything... or a former deputy prime minister!"
In fact, the numbers are on his side. SPAK's prey is plentiful; A former deputy prime minister like Arben Ahmetaj, a former health minister like Ilir Beqaj, a former environment minister like Lefter Koka, a former mayor like Vangjush Dako, another like Jorgo Goro, a deputy like Alqi Blako, Arben Ndoka etc.
SPAK is also investigating the wealth of the Mayor of Tirana, Erjon Veliajt, has called to question the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, has questioned the Minister of Education, Ogerta Manastirliu, the former director of legalization, Artan Lame etc.
But with all these former socialist leaders that he has investigated and imprisoned, Dumani and his colleagues in SPAK have not shaken the edifice that has kept the same people in power for 13 years.
Even in the investigations they have done, they have always avoided the man who leads the socialists, their chairman Edi Rama. Proof of this is the fact that Rama is one of the few politicians who has never been called to SPAK, even to be questioned about the files that affect him as prime minister.
Therefore, when he spoke in the parliament, the socialists let him speak without disturbing him, defended him from the opposition's accusations, and even applauded him at the end, not because he is a "hero of our children", but because of the way they treated him in the Assembly , consider him a hero of the party.
