The acting President of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, exercised her right to vote at the voting center located at the "Meto Bajraktari" school in Pristina.
After the vote, Haxhiu called on citizens to go out to vote and contribute with their participation to strengthening democracy in the country.
She assessed that the high turnout in the elections is an important indicator of the democratic functioning of Kosovo and invited citizens to spend this day with calm, respect for each other and civic responsibility.
Kosovo is holding parliamentary elections today for the new composition of the Assembly, in a process that is taking place after a long period of political deadlock.
These are the third parliamentary elections organized within 16 months, following those held on February 9 and December 28, 2025.
The country returned to the electoral process after the failure of political forces to find an agreement on the election of the president and the resolution of the institutional impasse that followed.
