Security expert Drizan Shala has stated that the Intelligence Services of Kosovo are on high alert following information that Serbia is preparing for new attacks in the north.
According to him, the chances are that at the beginning in 2024 there will be situations that affect not only the security of Kosovo but affect the entire region.
"Kosovo's intelligence and security institutions are in a state of readiness based on the information made public by Prime Minister Kurti. It is expected that in all likelihood after the beginning of 2024 tensions will be more manifested. In 2024, there may be situations that may affect not only the security of Kosovo, but regional impact. What can be seen is that the security institutions of Kosovo, in coordination with the friendly partner agencies of the USA, have been able to identify preparatory military activities of these formations of Serbia in the respective territories", said the expert.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Albin Kurti warned of the possibility of a repeat of the scenario that brought back the fear of war in Kosovo.
Milan Raodiçiç is reorganizing new attacks against Kosovo, said Kurti, as almost 3 months have passed since the armed rebellion of Banjska, taken over by the former vice-president of the Serbian List.
During a joint press conference with Interior Minister Xelal Sveçla, Kurti did not offer evidence to support his claims, but insisted on the involvement of Serbian state structures.
