Singer Nicki Minaj is arrested. She filmed herself being arrested by police on drug charges. This happened while she was traveling from Amsterdam to Manchester for her next 'Pink Friday 2' tour.
Despite vehemently denying that she was carrying any drugs, the 41-year-old rapper was told she had to go to the police station. In the recording, a man explained to her that "you will have to get a lawyer".
During the video, the hitmaker said she was told to 'get into the police van and leave without a lawyer present'.
She further claimed that someone working for airport security asked her to make a 'non-lawyer statement' after finding money in bags that they were not authorized to take.
Prior to her arrest, Minaj shared a series of posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) about her bags being searched at the airport.
"They have done everything they can to try and stop this tour," she wrote in a tweet.
