Rita Ora has surprised the public with an unusual statement, saying that she believes she may be a "witch." The 34-year-old singer said that this "mystical power" is a "gene" that, according to her, is inherited in her family, writes Daily Mail.
During an appearance on the Happy Hour Overheard podcast, Rita said: "My grandmother was 100% a witch. For my mother, I'm not really sure if she has that gene, but I believe she definitely has it." She even described her wedding as a "spiritual" event and admitted to having a particular passion for yoga and astrology.
Rita also revealed the rituals that help her stay balanced: "I do weekly readings, I open tarot cards... At the end of the day, just something that gives you hope, and that's all you need." She said she believes "100 percent" in astrology, adding: "I honestly think it should be a religion in its own right. I like the idea that spirits can guide you on your path."
Even before performances, the singer maintains an inner calm: "Some people like crazy music, they take shots... I'm not at all rock 'n' roll before I go on stage. I'm very sporty: I do exercises, I put on relaxing music. Everything is very chill."
Rita has previously revealed the impact a fan had on her: "He told me: 'Your life is like a handful of sand... It all depends on how you protect that handful of sand.'" According to her, this message has changed her approach to life: "I used to rush a lot... Now I try to walk a little more slowly... Impulsive reactions are usually the ones you regret."
