The RTSH Song Festival has announced the dates for this year's edition. According to the organizers, through an announcement on social media, the festival will take place on December 17, 18, 19 and 20.
This year's edition will bring together well-known names in Albanian music on stage. The list of singers this year has been made public for several weeks, where interest is high, also because of Eurovision, where the winning song goes. But unlike previous years, this time the problem seems to have become the name of the moderators who will lead this spectacle throughout the 4 nights. The reason for this seems to be the finances of this institution.
The organizers requested that Salsano Rrapi be the moderator, along with another moderator of course. But it seems that the RTSH leaders have requested that existing moderators at RTSH, Fjodora Fjora and Flori Gjini, be in charge, since the latter will not receive large payments. Jonida Shehu was initially considered for the moderation alongside him, but since the festival aims for a "youthful atmosphere", Arilena Ara was proposed.
According to sources, the beauty may ask for a high amount, which may be difficult for the public television, which has encountered economic difficulties recently. So far, the name of the moderator has not been decided, but what is known for sure is that the name, whatever it is, will not be chosen so easily. This year, the director of the Festival is Elhaida Dani, who has requested to have Salsano Rrapin on stage as moderator.
We recall that earlier, Arbana Osmani and Luana Vjollca had submitted a project to be the head of this program. So far, neither name has been rumored as a possible presenter. Economic problems seem to be affecting even the most important music spectacles, meaning that with less than a month to go before the start of the Festival, the names of the moderators who will be on stage have not yet been decided.
What is certain is that this year, at the Palace of Congresses, we will not see either Arbana or Luana, who were rejected as moderators, precisely because of the high fees they requested. It remains to be seen whether it will be Arilena or Fjodora who will be the host of the live music nights.
