Hailey Bieber has reflected on how her health emergency completely changed her approach to life and body care.
During the February 18 episode of the Therapuss podcast with influencer Jake Shane, the 29-year-old spoke openly about the mini-stroke she suffered in 2022. "I'm obsessed with medicine," she said.
Hailey revealed that she was initially hospitalized with stroke-like symptoms, caused by a blood clot in her brain. It was later discovered that she had suffered a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack), also known as a mini-stroke.
After tests, the model was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect called PFO (patent foramen ovale), a small opening that did not close properly after birth.
"It made me a lot more aware of my body and a little more nervous about everything," she said, adding that the experience made her more careful with her health.
In previous interviews, Hailey has confessed to experiencing anxiety and PTSD symptoms after the episode, calling it "the scariest thing" she had ever gone through.
"The fear that it could happen again was very strong," she said, adding that over time it has become easier to talk about that period.
The model also revealed that her obsession with skincare and health led her to create her own beauty brand, Rhode.
