They were born on different days, months and years… but only minutes apart.

This is the story of two little twins from Split, Croatia. The first came into being a few minutes before midnight and the other just after the turn of the year, officially born in 2024.

So, despite being twins, they will have different birth dates on their documents, one in 2023 and the other in the following year.

"It is certainly an unusual situation, which will include the celebration of their birthdays in different years", pointed out Damir Roje, head of the obstetrics department at the polyclinic in the Croatian city.
