"I thought about killing myself", Zamira Kita makes the strong

The actress and director of the Korça Theater, Zamira Kita, who was invited to the Prime Minister Edi Rama's "Flasim" podcast, narrated the difficult moments of her life for which she even thought of killing herself.

Edi Rama: How did you experience these? Cry, hit the wall with your head?

Zamira Kita: I cried. I have not hit the wall with my head, but I have thought about killing myself. Especially in the appointment in the village, one of the biggest hits. Especially then in my acquaintance with Ben. I fought a lot that today I can decide that I want to do what I want. We both suffered. After 14 years we got married.

The career of actress Zamira Kita has not been simple. When she goes back in time, as a teenager she remembers the 'persecution' she had to face after the arrest of her father's two brothers for agitation and propaganda.

But even where you think that everything is impossible, there are people to lend a hand. Year 1979. Zamira Kita was in the second year of high school.

"My uncle was arrested. This was a very big event at that time for our family. I got a kick out of the teachers. At school I was not given the grade I deserved. In my class I had Vera, the daughter of the then first party secretary, Enver Halili. When they told him, he called me to the Party Committee. They were told that the girl will compete in the Arts Academy like other girls," says Kita.

After graduating from university, he was appointed to the village of Pirg, in Korça. A remote village.

"I did variety theater. But it bothered me that I had to sleep there. I used to hitchhike home.
In 1986 I made a film with Piro Milkani. He led the way for me. But every moment I was hit. They found out that I made the film. They would cut the film and get another actress. But they came and met the first secretary, Mihallaq Qirjako, who was also very nice. He said 'no, he will continue the film'

How did he act in these challenges?

"I cried. I did not hit the wall with my head. But killing my mind has occurred to me. Especially with the appointment in the village"
She also had to face challenges with the opinion of that time, her relationship with her husband, Ben, and her father-in-law's refusal to accept her as a bride because she was an actress and 4 years older.

“The biggest difficulties then with knowing Ben. It was not easy. I fought a lot that today I can and from Ben, I decide to do what I want and decide to do. I convinced Ben. We both suffered. After 14 years we got married, says Zamira Kita.
Father-in-law?

"It was very difficult for me to be Ben's wife, because I was an actress 4 years older. He passed away without ever meeting me. This is one of the pawns I have. I wanted to go but Ben said no. He understood later, but he was difficult in character," says Kita.

Then in the office as a director

"When I received my first appointment as director, two men entered my office and told me that you will not stay for more than 6 months! I have been in that office for 16 years and today I am a friend of one of those men," recalls Kita.
