Pop star Madonna surprised the public in the heart of New York City by suddenly appearing in Times Square for a short performance of about 15 minutes , in front of hundreds of fans gathered in the square.
The 67-year-old attracted great attention not only with her energy on stage, but also with her special appearance, as part of the promotion of her new album "Confessions II".
She appeared wearing a tight pink corset over a bodysuit, combined with blue bras, pink gloves, knee-high socks, blue sunglasses, and silver knee-high boots, bringing a bold style characteristic of the artist.
However, the moment that received the most attention online was during the performance, when Madonna crossed one leg over the transparent railing of the stage and stood for several seconds above the crowd below her. The move was considered dangerous by some present and the footage was quickly shared on social media, prompting numerous reactions.
On stage, in addition to the singer, there were also dancers, a DJ and a rotating platform, while Madonna performed some of her most popular hits, including "Hung Up" and "I Love New York", as well as material from the new musical project.
The album "Confessions II" is the follow-up to the successful 2005 project "Confessions on a Dance Floor" and is expected to be released on July 3. Madonna has described it as a "love letter to dance music and the communities that create and live it."
