The YouTube influencer known as 'Pretty Pastel Please' has died unexpectedly yesterday shocking her followers as well as family members who loved her very much.
The cause of 30-year-old Alexandra's death has not been made public, but her passing was described as "sudden, sudden and devastating to everyone who knew her".
"Today we bring you a heavy announcement, informing you that Alex, known to many as Pretty Pastel Please, has passed away," read the announcement accompanied by the image of the popular Australian commentator, holding her pet parrot.
Her post was commented on by 122,000 Instagram users as the announcement traded on the unpredictable nature of the event.
"This was completely unexpected, a huge shock to us and everyone who knew him."
The young woman regularly posted videos of her life on YouTube and other websites, including photos of meetings with friends and parents, or taking care of herself.
One shocked fan said: “This is not what I expected from Instagram today. Rest in peace Alex. It has been a joy to follow you on the web these past few years.”
Another wrote: "I am sad, heartbroken. I was looking forward to your YouTube stories...it was so special and I hope the best for your family and friends who are grieving your loss."
The YouTube blogger has spoken out about her mental health struggles, saying she has compulsive behavior disorder and said her "outspoken character was born out of a very dark place in her life."
