Shpat Kasapi's mother, Gjylymsere Kasapi, has reacted publicly for the first time after her son's passing, expressing deep gratitude to all those who have been close to the family in these difficult moments.
Through a post on Facebook, she thanks her family, friends, society, colleagues and artists for the support and solidarity shown after the loss of the singer, which she describes as the "greatest pain" they are experiencing.
"Thank you to all the family members of the Kasapi family, my family from my parents and, of course, our entire society in general, colleagues and artists from all Albanian regions, for the support and sharing with us the great pain we are experiencing with the passing of our beloved Shpat," she writes.
Among other things, Gjylymser extended a special thank you to her daughter-in-law, Selvija, Shpati's wife.
"I would especially like to thank my beloved Selvije, the soul of my Shpati's soul, who not only loved him, but adored him for her gentleness, sincerity and morality as a devoted wife. She was maximally dedicated not only as a co-traveler in their shared life, but also as an excellent mother to my little nephew, Roel. This was also proven by the fact that Shpati passed away in Selvije's arms, while Roel also jumped on them, without realizing what was happening," writes Shpati's mother.
In her message, Shpati's mother calls for a halt to any kind of speculation or misinterpretation, warning that any such attempt will be punished both morally and legally.
She also asks those who are trying to upset the family, especially Selvije, to leave them space to experience the pain in peace.
"I ask those who, at this moment, are trying to disturb us as a family in general, or any of the names I mentioned above, especially my beloved and respected Selvije, who keeps me alive in these difficult moments for me, to allow us to experience our deep pain and deal with their personal affairs," says the mother of the late singer who passed away just a few days ago from a heart attack.

I thank all the family members of the KASAPI family, my family from my parents and of course all our society in general, colleagues and artists from all Albanian regions for their support and sharing with us, the great pain that we are experiencing with the departure from life of our beloved SHPATI for all...! In a special way I want to thank my dear SELVIJA, the soul of my soulmate Shpati, who not only loved but also adored him for the gentleness, sincerity, morality of a devoted wife, who was maximally dedicated not only as a fellow traveler in their common life, but also as a great mother of my little nephew, ROELI..!
This was also confirmed by the fact that Shpati passed away in Selvija's arms, on which Roeli also threw himself, not understanding what was happening...!!! I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to the family of Sefer and Elida Jao, Agim and Besnik, a wonderful family, who throughout the entire marriage of Shpati and Selvija, have always remained close to us, and they had Shpati not as their son-in-law but as their son...!
Any speculation other than this, which with a broken heart and tears in the eyes of a mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, I will condemn not only morally but also legally...! I beg those who, at these moments, are trying to disturb us as a family in general, any of the names I mentioned above, especially my beloved and respected Selvije, who keeps me alive in these difficult moments for me, to allow us to experience our deep pain and let them mind their own business..!
Finally, a deep THANK YOU to all those who consoled us for the Star, the Light and my Son and yours, the SLOPE…! MAY MOM'S SOUL REST IN PEACE.
