P.Diddy has filed a third request for bail pending trial on sex trafficking charges. He strongly criticizes the prosecutors, claiming that their media tactics and strategies have already "destroyed his reputation".
The 55-year-old artist and entrepreneur, whose real name is Sean Combs, is accused of running a criminal enterprise involved in sex trafficking, but he insists the charges are "fictitious".
Diddy's legal team argues that the charges, which include organizing parties called "Freak Offs" - orgies where women are allegedly drugged and forced into marathon sex sessions - are exaggerated and "theatrically twisted" by the prosecution.
The hip-hop mogul has denied all charges, including sex trafficking and blackmail, and maintains his innocence.
"The prospect of a conviction does not materially change his incentives here, where his reputation has already been destroyed by the government's allegations and aggressive media tactics," Diddy's lawyers said in the filing. They pointed out that only an exoneration could begin to restore his public image.
One of the focal points of Diddy's defense is his attempt to discredit his accusers, including his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. His lawyers have argued that Ventura, along with another alleged victim, was not forced to do anything.
Additionally, they claim that security footage showing an altercation between Diddy and Ventura at the Intercontinental Hotel in 2016 is doctored.
