Judge Migena Laska sentenced Prince Leka Zogu to 1 year in prison, but due to the summary trial, the sentence was reduced to 8 months and suspended to 16 months of probation.
Prince Leka was convicted of violence against his ex-wife, Elia Zaharia, and her father, Gjergj Zaharia. The black squads sentenced Gjergj Zaharia, Elia Zaharia's father, to 10 months, where with a shortened trial the sentence is reduced to 6 months and 20 days. The court orders the suspension of the execution of the prison sentence and his placement on probation for a period of 1 year and 40 days, on condition that during the probation period, the defendant does not commit any other criminal offense. Meanwhile, Elia Zaharia was found not guilty of the charge of domestic violence, since the fact does not constitute a criminal offense.
