Russell Brand in trouble, the United Kingdom opens investigations into the actor for sexual abuse

UK police have opened investigations into Russell Brand following allegations of sexual abuse.

"Following an investigation by Channel 4 Dispatches and The Sunday Times, the Met has received a number of allegations of sexual abuse in London," it said in a statement today.

"We have also received a number of allegations of sexual abuse elsewhere in the country and will investigate these. The works are all not final," they added.

Brand has publicly denied the allegations and accused the UK government of trying to censor him.

Brand rose to fame as a comedian and actor, but in recent years has built a YouTube channel that has been accused of promoting conspiracy theories including denial of COVID-19.
