The dismissal of a warehouse worker in the United Kingdom for imitating pop star Michael Jackson was unfair, a British administrative court has ruled.
A colleague accused warehouse worker Lucasz Zawadzki of making too much noise while imitating the pop star.
Zawadzki was also accused by his colleague, who is black, of making monkey-like noises to mock him, which, according to him, was a display of racist views.
Zawadzki admitted to doing such actions, but added that they were not racist.
The Cooperative Group was ordered to pay Zawadzki more than £10,000 ($13,000) in compensation after Judge Carol Porter found he had been unfairly dismissed.
