"Only Fans" influencer and model Fati Vazkez has received death threats following rumors that she is in a romance with 17-year-old Barcelona star Lamin Jamal.
The rumors started after photos were shared online where the pair appeared to be spending their vacation in the same place.
The Barcelona winger, who is coming off a successful season with titles in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey, published a series of photos from a holiday destination with boats, rocky coastlines and a luxurious swimming pool.
Just a few days later, Vazquez posted photos from an almost identical setting. Lamin's fans quickly noticed the similarities and began speculating about a possible romantic connection between the pair.
Amid a wave of speculation, the 30-year-old took to social media to respond to threatening messages she has received.
“ It’s sad to see how some people hold so much darkness inside that they end up wishing death on someone they don’t even know, ” she wrote. “ What others project says more about them than it does about me. I choose to live with purpose, continue to grow, and surround myself with light .”
She added: " To those who wish me harm, I wish them well, because no one who is good to themselves wants to destroy another. "
Despite the uproar on social media, Lamin Jamal has reportedly denied the rumors.
Journalist Javi de Hojos claimed to have spoken directly with the footballer, who he insists 'there is nothing between them'.
De Hojos also hinted that the influencer may be linked to another Barcelona player, although no names were confirmed.
