The fact that Silvinho, the coach of the Albanian National Team, was against the expansion of the European list, was surprisingly received by the sports opinion, in the meeting that was held at the beginning of April by UEFA in Dusseldorf, Germany, with all the coaches. The discussion was clear, some coaches of the participating national teams raised the thesis to go from 23 players to 26 included in the final list for the European Championship.
An expansion of the list would definitely give Silvinho more alternatives and ease in the choices he would make, but on the other hand, it would increase his "headaches". In what sense? From the technical side, it is very difficult for a coach to conduct a training session with 26 players, while for the tactics he will work on, only 22 players are enough. In the conversation with some journalists during the activity that the AFL organized yesterday at "Air Albania", Silvinjo revealed why he held this position, which according to him gives him the right.
" It is not easy for the coach, during a training session, to leave out four footballers and communicate to them that they should work separately, or to see their teammates involved in the tactics that he will prepare ", says the coach. Naturally, dissatisfaction will arise, and for this Silvinjo is convinced that something like this should be avoided. However, UEFA is expected to come out with a decision in the coming weeks regarding the issue of expanding the list.
EUROPEAN - After two friendly challenges with Liechtenstein and Azerbaijan, in June, Albania will start the journey to the European Championship "Germany 2024". On June 15, the Reds and Blacks will play the first match against Italy, at 21:00, at the "BVB Stadion Dortmund" stadium. Four days later, on June 19, the Reds and Blacks will play the second match of the European Championship against Croatia, starting at 15:00, at the "Volksparkstadion Hamburg" stadium. Albania will play the last match in Group B against Spain on June 24, at the "Dusseldorf Arena" stadium, at 21:00.
