Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has not ruled out the possibility of one day being a manager in the Premier League.
Alonso is under immense pressure after just two wins in seven La Liga games, including a 0-2 home defeat to Celta Vigo at the weekend. Los Blancos had two players sent off, leaving them four points behind arch-rivals Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
Speaking ahead of his side's Champions League match against Manchester City in Spain, Alonso was asked about his chances of taking charge of a Premier League club if he were to leave Real Madrid.
" Of course I can manage in the Premier League ," said Alonso, who won the Champions League as a Liverpool player during his time at Anfield Road between 2004 and 2010.
" There is this connection with the English clubs and of course with my former club, but at the moment this is my place, this is where I want to be ," Alonso said.
In the end, the Spanish coach commented: "In the future, you never know what can happen."
