Klaus Gjasula has decided to retire from the Albanian national team. The Albanian midfielder played his last match with Albania in "EURO 2024" and has decided to end it with the Red and Black National Team.
There was also a farewell letter from the 34-year-old who, through social networks, shows his experiences since his debut, the goal in the European Championship and the feeling of wearing the red and black jersey.

dear friends,
I had always dreamed of playing with the National Team and I made it happen. I was in a European, I scored a goal and I felt like the happiest man in the world. If I look back, I have a lot of beautiful moments with the red and black jersey, from the first gathering, to the debut match against France in the "Stade de France" and to the last one against Croatia in "EURO 2024". Even when I think about it now, I still tremble with emotion.
Anyway, I've been thinking a lot lately and coldly judged and made the decision to retire from the National Team. It is the right decision to pave the way for young people, which fortunately our National Team has a lot of. I achieved my dream and now it's time for others to fulfill and live that dream.
After five years I will have the opportunity to come to the stadium and support our national team as a fan. I am grateful to God, my family and all the people who stood by me at every moment and believed in me.
In particular, I want to thank the Albanian Football Federation, President Armand Duka, the coaches I worked with, Edoardo Reja and Sylvio Mendes Campos Junior, the technical staff of the National Team and all the teammates who shared this journey, which for me is the most special. .
The successes achieved would not be possible without the best fans in the world, those who have always supported us, whether in defeat, victory or draw.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all red and black fans.
