The president of the AFL, Armand Duka, was received in a meeting by the mayor of Shkodër, Benet Beci, where they discussed cooperation for the development of football and important infrastructural projects.
The chairman of SHRF Shkodër, Lazër Matija, the president of Vllaznia, Alban Xhaferri and representatives of the AFL were also present at the meeting. After thanking Mayor Beci for the warm hospitality, President Duka appreciated the willingness to cooperate and advance important initiatives to support the growth of football in Shkodra.
One of the most important issues discussed was the management of the "Loro Boriçi" stadium and finding the most appropriate formula between the Municipality and the Vllaznia club so that the facility is as functional and fully efficient as possible. President Duka said that it is important that all the premises of the stadium are revitalized and are in full functionality all the time.
During the meeting, the project that the Vllaznia club has to build a youth sports park, a modern complex that can give a big boost to the development of football in the northern city, was also reviewed.
Mayor Beci has expressed his willingness to make available to this project the land in the former Wire Factory for this major project, which consists in the construction of a sports complex, hotel and services that include at least 5 fields of standard sizes, which will serve for the training of Vllaznia teams and the organization of age championships, offering a modern infrastructure.
