Claudio Ranieri is officially the head coach of Roma. The news was announced by the club itself through a post on social networks.
The famous Italian technician has accepted the capital club's offer to return to the bench, although he was the same one who announced his retirement from the world of football at the end of last season after successfully ending his adventure in Cagliari.
This is the third time for the 73-year-old, who will sit on the "yellow and red" bench, after having managed them two more times, in 2009 and 2011. He replaced the Croatian Juric due to the results of weak. Ranieri will be the third coach for Roma this season, after De Rossi and Juric.

Roma is pleased to announce that Claudio Ranieri is the new first team coach.
At the end of the season, Claudio will move into a senior executive role, where he will be an advisor to the ownership on all sporting matters at the club. The search for a future coach will continue over the coming months. Claudio will have a contribution to that decision as well.
Born in Rome and a lifelong novelist, Ranieri wore the yellow jersey as a player during the 1973-74 season and later served as the team's coach on two separate occasions (from 2009 to 2011 and in 2019). He is a true symbol of the Club's values and one of the most respected figures in Roman sport around the world.
Ranieri brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience from Serie A, the Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1, managing Europe's top clubs and winning historic titles, such as his legendary 2016 triumph with Leicester.
The club wishes him all the best for this exciting new chapter in his career, confident that he will be an invaluable asset to the team and to all of AS Roma.
